Feeding the Beast
The Global Training Institute will train you in proper care and feeding of the media. They have a deadline to make, they’re going to run their story whether you speak to them or not, why not guide them into the story you want and need to be told? The damage to your organization’s reputation caused by inaction or improper dealings during a media frenzy may take years to repair at an incalculable cost.
This course is designed to give you specific tools to use before, during and after an incident that creates attention from the mass media. Whether it’s a murder, scandal or workplace killing rampage, the time to learn about media relations is not when reporters are at your door and the world is watching on live television. This course will provide you with ways to respond to the onslaught of reporters’ tough questions and give concise, factual statements.
You will learn how to exert control over the media at crime scenes or in critical and emergency situations and how to use the media to your advantage. The next regional, national or global news story might happen in your jurisdiction. It pays to be ready and, most importantly, to appear confident on camera.
During this interactive course, you will receive lecture instruction and practice what you have learned through a variety of practical exercises both on and off camera.
